Turner Field is the home of Atlanta Braves baseball team and was opened on April 4 1997 for baseball. It was also the home of the Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996 and then had capacity of around 85,000
Looking at the stands there are three levels of seating and over 50 executive boxes giving turner field a capacity of almost 50,000.
The stadium boasts a huge video board in the center field and another one in the 'Fans Plaza'. These video screens are 29 x 38 feet and 17 x 22 feet respectively. There are also over 500 screens beaming back the game throughout the stadium so that supporters dont miss a second of the action.
There are 8,500 carparking spaces at the stadium, the carpark was actually built on the site of the Braves old home 'The Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium' which was demolished in 1996 to coinside with the opening of Turner Field. A rather unusual aspect of the car park is the fact that it has an outline of the old stadiums playing field, home plate and base markers for the nostalgic supporter.
