The National stadium is located in Kallang, an urban planning area in the southeastern part of Singapore.The stadium was opened in 1973 and has the capacity for 55,000. people. The National stadium has since been closed in mid-2007 to make way for the Singapore Sports Hub. Including bay side stadium with retractable roof and a 55,000 capacity. The Singapore Sports Hub is expected to complete in mid-2011.
