Description

Estadio Monumental is located in Ate in Lima, the distinct in Peru. The stadium is used by the La “U,” a Peruvian football club. It was constructed in 2000. This is the biggest stadium in Peru and, moreover, in South America. It is capable of hosting more than 80,000 people. There are nearly 60,000 seats and 4 stands. It matches the high requirements of FIFA.

The ground has been used for a range of major events, including qualifying games for the FIFA finals. Unfortunately, it could not participate in the Copa América that took place in 2004 due to problems occurs between the organizers of the events and the members of the club.

There are two sections in the stadium. The first one located lower is used by regular fans, and the other one is dedicated to six-floor luxury boxes. There are 4 stands in the lower section. Each of them has own entrance.

The Occidente and Oriente are both features only seats, and there are handicapped places behind them. The other stands feature standing terraces. Palco Oficial located in the western stand is suitable for around 600 people. It comes with own entrance, bathrooms, cafe, and other facilities. The other section includes the luxury suites. There is private parking offered for its users.
