Sheriff Stadium is home to FC Sheriff, a football team based in Tiraspol, the capital of the autonomous region of Transnistria, Moldova, and owned by the local 'Sheriff Corporation'. It seats 14,300 spectators. It is the only football stadium in the region which is eligible for international events, which means that teams from both Moldova and Transnistria use it to play their international home matches.
