Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari was built after the second world war for car manufacturers to test their new sports cars on it is named after Dino and Enzo Ferrari who were the geniuses behind the famous sports car and racing team.
The circuit has also been home to the San Marino Grand Prix since 1981. The circuit is in fact in Italy although close to the borders of San Marino, because San Marino is too small a countrty to facilitate such an event.
