Description

Turners Cross is a football stadium located in Cork, Ireland. It is mainly used by Munster Football Association as well as Cork City. It used to be just the ground with a pitch, several grassy banks, and one covered terrace known as “The Shed”. In 2009, Turners Cross was significantly redeveloped, which made it the first all-seated and all-covered stadium in Ireland.

In 2015, “Donie Forde” stand was constructed with 1,857 covered seats, the family section control box, and press broadcasting area. St. Anne’s Stand is a covered stand with the capacity of 2,720. “The Shed” was replaced by the new stand with the capacity of 1,660. It was constructed in 2007.

Away fans

Before 2005, the away supporters could find places at the St Annes side, but since 2006, their places have been located at the end of the Derrynane stand.

How to get to Turners Cross

You can take bus number 3, which stops near the ground. From Dublin, you can take the Jack Lynch tunnel and drive toward Turners Cross. There is parking located near the stadium.
