The Allianz Arena is a football stadium located in the north of Munich, Germany. Two professional football teams 'FC Bayern München' and 'TSV 1860 München' play their home games at the Allianz Arena
The Allianz Arena opened in 2005 in time for the FIFA 2006 World Cup and holds a total of 69,901 spectators for national games and 66,000 for international games. 10,400 seats were converted to terraces in the lower tier corners of the ground.
The construction of te stadium cost a total of €340 m and took two and a half years to build.
A nice feaure of the stadium is that has 2,874 foil panels around its exterior facade that change colour depending upon who is playing. It can be red, blue or white; red for Bayen, blue for 1860 and white for international games. These panels can change colour independently which can produce some spectacular displays.
The Allianz Arena in Munich, a close resemblance to Cliftonhill Stadium in Coatbridge.
