The Gabriel-Montpied Stadium (bearing the name of Gabriel Montpied which was a mayor of Clermont-Ferrand between 1944 and 1973) is a stage for football (soccer) located in Clermont-Ferrand. It can accomodate 10.670 spectators. Inaugurated December 30 1995, this enclosure was designed by the architect Jacques Kalisz. It is mainly used by the club of football of Clermont Foot Auvergne.
The storm of December 27, 1999 caused a large degree of devastation at the ground, tearing off nearly 60% of the roof of the stands.
The record of attendance at the Stade Gabriel-Montpied was 10.562 paying spectators on October 20 2003 during a match against ACE Saint-Etienne.
