Description
Pirelli Stadium was built in Burton Upon Trent, the UK in 2005 for 7.2 million pounds. It is the permanent home for Burton Albion F.C. The land was donated to the football club by Pirelli, which is why the ground was named after him. The capacity of the Pirelli Stadium was 6,068. It belongs to the best non-league stadiums in the UK. It features training facilities for teenagers as well as an activity center for children.
The design of the ground was prepared by three reputable architects, including Cawkwell, Hadfield, and Davidson. Their work became the inspiration for a range of other new grounds, such as Hayes & Yeading stadium, Morecambe’s Globe Arena, and others.
Since its opening, the ground has undergone a few minor changes, and currently, its capacity is 6,912 people, including 2034 seats located in the South Stand. The highest attendance is 6,746 people that occurred when Derby County played against the local football club during an EFL Championship.
There is car parking near the stadium that can fit 400 vehicles. Currently, the club is planning on adding a few new facilities to the stadium, including a hotel, car park, and more, and now it is actively looking for funds to implement the project.
