Time to time, Bilino Polje also hosts matches of National rugby union team. From 1999 to 2001, the ground also hosted games of NK Derzelez Zenica. The stadium has a rectangular shape as well as British style dimensions, which makes it a quite unusual stadium in the country.

Bilino Polje football stadium was built in 1972. It took around 6-8 months for the stadium to be constructed. Several years after the construction, Bilino Polje was awarded for being the most beautiful stadium in Yugoslavia. In 1996, it was the venue for a friendly game against Albania. The last renovation of the stadium took place in 2012.

One of the most interesting things about this ground is that it is believed to be a “curse” for foreign national teams because they usually lose when playing there.

During 1995-2006, Bosnia won around fifteen games played in Zenica. The Bosnia national team never lost games on their ground until the Euro qualifiers against Hungary that took place in 2008.
